The NiSi Cinema 4x5.65" Vertical Soft IR GND is a graduated neutral density filter that darkens bright areas of the image, such as the sky, while leaving the rest of the image unchanged. The Vertical GND is specifically designed for the NiSi C5 Matte Box and can be moved vertically to selectively darken bright areas of the image.
Soft Transition
The NiSi Cinema 4x5.65" Vertical Soft IR GND filters are characterized by a soft transition, where the transition from light to dark becomes softer. They are mainly used when the boundary between light and dark areas is not clearly defined, such as in mountain landscape shots.
True-to-Life Colors
The NiSi GND filters do not affect the color rendering of the image, offer true-to-life colors, and are made from high-quality optical Schott glass with a multi-layer nano-coating to ensure the preservation of every detail.
Infrared Coating
When using neutral density filters, the camera can become susceptible to infrared light, which can cause an unwanted red cast on photos at small apertures. The NiSi GND filters feature an infrared protection coating that blocks infrared light through the lens, ensuring natural, lifelike color reproduction.
