75mm, 100mm or 150mm?
The NiSi filter system is very extensive, so it's easy to lose track. With this overview, we want to help you find the right system for you. If you're more of a visual type, skip straight down to our video. In it, we have explained the different systems for you.
Why square filters?
1. Do I want to get the most out of my landscape or architectural photos? If the answer is yes, you need graduated neutral density (GND) filters. They allow for a more accurate and better exposure by darkening the bright area in the photo (usually the sky) and leaving the dark area untouched. This allows the camera to expose the subject evenly. This effect is not possible with screw-in filters.
2. Do I have more than one lens on which I want to use filters? If so, you will usually save a lot of money from the second lens (at the latest from the third). If you buy circular filters, you have to buy them for each diameter. One neutral density (ND) filter for one lens and one for the other. With the filter holder system, you only have to buy this filter once and can adapt it to different lenses using a holder.
If neither of these apply to you or you are looking for a very special filter (Allure Soft Filter, Allure Streak Filter), then screw-in filters are just the thing for you and your photography!
Does your lens have a filter thread?
You can usually read the diameter (Ø) of the lens on the front of the lens. For example: “Ø 77”. If this is not shown, you will find this information somewhere on the lens - usually near the bayonet. Repeat the search for the diameter for all your relevant lenses. For example, if you're doing landscape or architectural photography, you don't need to check the diameters of your portrait lenses. Wide-angle lenses, standard focal lengths and telephoto lenses are the ones of interest.
NiSi 75mm system

If the largest diameter of your lenses does not exceed 67mm*, then the M75 II system is the right choice for you. This is compatible with the following diameters: 39mm, 40.5mm, 43mm, 46mm, 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm and 72mm. The basic adapter of the M75 mount has 67mm. Adapter rings can be used to adapt to smaller threads. The neutral density filters for this system are 75x80mm and gray graduated filters are 75x100mm.
This filter holder system is particularly suitable for systems such as Olympus/OM System, Panasonic, Leica and Sony (Alpha 6000 series). Our practical 75mm kits already contain the M75 II holder and the most important rectangular filters.
*If you can do without the built-in rotatable polarizing filter, there is also the 72mm adapter ring for the M75 II mount. The 72mm adapter ring is used instead of the basic adapter. The rotating polarizing filter is therefore not required.
NiSi 100mm system

Do you have diameters larger than 67mm? Welcome to the 100mm system (V7). Neutral density filters for this mount are 100x100mm and graduated neutral density filters are 100x150mm. The NiSi V7 mount is compatible with the following diameters: 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, 82mm, 86mm, 95mm.
This range makes the 100mm system by far the most widely used system. The V7 basic adapter has a diameter of 82mm. Adapter rings can be used to adapt to smaller threads.
Our practical 100mm kits already contain the V6 mount and the most important square filters.
*If you can do without the built-in rotating polarizing filter, there is also the 86mm and 95mm adapter ring for the V7 mount. The adapter ring is used instead of the basic adapter. The rotating polarizing filter is therefore not required. The square 100x100mm polarizing filter is available for this case.
Help! My lens has no filter thread

If your lens does not have a filter thread, this is no reason to panic. We have developed the 150mm plug-in filters for this case. The NiSi S6 system are mounts that are placed and attached directly - without a screw thread - to your ultra-wide-angle lens. The neutral density filters are 150x150mm and the graduated neutral density filters are 150x170mm.
For most of these lenses, there is a separately available adapter ring with 82mm and 77mm. This means you can use the holder for your ultra wide-angle lens and also use the large (150mm) filters with your “normal” lenses.

With our NiSi 150mm filter kits you already get the most important rectangular filters. All you need is an S5 or S6 mount.
NiSi Circular filters
If you only have one or two lenses or the filter holder system is too big for you, you can still fall back on our high-quality circular filters. These are made of equally high-quality glass and in most cases are nano-coated. Many filters are only available as circular filters, such as our Allure Streak strip filter or the Allure Soft soft-focus filter.
If photography is a small hobby for you or you only have one lens, then you can also make good use of the effects of a neutral density filter withcircular filters. From two different diameters, a plug-in system usually pays off. Don't forget that graduated neutral density filters are only available for filter holder systems - if you want to get even more out of your landscape photos, sooner or later you will have to purchase a filter holder.
NiSi special brackets
We have developed 100mm filter holders for special ultra wide-angle lenses. These do not have a rotatable polarizing filter as a basic adapter. You can use the “normal” 100mm filters with them without having to buy a large 150mm mount for this one lens. Due to the wide angle, these mounts are usually equipped with 2 slots. This means that there is little to no vignetting.
This special mount is available for the following lenses:
