The NiSi Lens Hood Kit III – Fujifilm X100 Series (silver) combines lens protection, a lens hood and the classic X100 look in a coordinated accessory system. Ideal for street photography, travel and everyday use, the set combines an NC-UV filter with a square metal lens hood and a magnetic lens cap.

Square lens hood with secure locking mechanism

The square metal lens hood attaches to the filter via a patented locking mechanism and is securely fixed in place. Unlike a simple clamp or friction-based connection, this ensures that it neither twists nor gradually comes loose during transport. This is particularly handy for street photography and when travelling, when the Fujifilm X100 is frequently taken out of a bag or carried on a strap. At the same time, the design is inspired by the classic look of the X100 series. The NiSi Lens Hood Kit III – Fujifilm X100 Series (silver) is designed for the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI. The metal construction and silver finish blend in seamlessly with the camera’s design. Even with the lens hood fitted, there is sufficient internal clearance to allow the lens barrel to extend when focusing at close range.

NC UV filter with 99.3% light transmission and a 49 mm thread

The kit includes a NiSi NC-UV filter made from high-quality optical glass with a multi-layer nano-coating. The specified light transmission of 99.3 per cent minimises the filter’s impact on the amount of light, whilst reducing UV light and atmospheric haze. At the same time, the filter sits permanently in front of the camera lens’s front element, protecting it from dust, splashes and direct contact during everyday photography. A hydrophobic and oleophobic outer coating allows water to bead off more easily and reduces the adhesion of fingerprints and grease. The UV filter features a standardised 49 mm front thread for attaching additional creative filters. This allows polarising filters, neutral density filters or suitable close-up filters to be screwed on without first having to remove the UV filter from the camera. This makes the accessory suitable for spontaneous street photography as well as for landscape, travel and long-exposure shots.

Magnetic lens cap for quick protection on the go

A magnetic metal lens cap complements the protection system and can be attached and removed without clips or fiddly alignment. This makes it easy to switch quickly between protected transport and being ready to shoot – for example, when taking photos whilst travelling or capturing spontaneous scenes in the city. The NiSi Lens Hood Kit III – Fujifilm X100 Series (silver) also takes into account the design of the X100’s extending lens: The designated internal clearance allows focusing down to the respective minimum distance of the compatible camera, without filters or the lens hood obstructing the movement of the lens barrel. If the square lens hood is removed, the original Fujifilm X100 lens cap can also be used directly on the UV filter. This allows for flexible configuration of the accessories – either as a complete set for additional mechanical protection, or reduced to just the UV filter and original lens cap for the most compact travel kit possible.
