The NiSi Cinema Yellow Light Blocker is designed to reduce the effects of light pollution in videos or photos that show the night sky and artificial light sources. Light pollution occurs mainly in urban areas where concentrated light sources such as street lighting, neon signs, or spotlights from sports and entertainment events illuminate the sky.
Specifically filters yellow light
The NiSi Cinema Yellow Light Blocker specifically filters the yellow light from sodium vapor lamps, mercury vapor lamps, and LEDs with a low color rendering index, which are widespread in cities. By blocking these dominant light wavelengths, the visibility of astronomical objects is improved, while artificial light sources are displayed brighter and with less glare.
Multi-layer nano-coating
The filter is compatible with filter holders or matte boxes that can accommodate rectangular filters with a thickness of 4mm. Made from high-quality optical Schott glass, it offers the highest clarity and color fidelity. Additionally, each glass surface is coated with a multi-layer nano-coating that enhances water and oil repellency and makes cleaning easier.
