NiSi Athena Prime Add-on Set
The NiSi Athena Prime Add-on Set contains the three newest lenses from our Athena Prime collection: the 18mm T2.2, the 40mm T1.9 and the 135mm T2.2, tailored for full-frame and beyond. This add-on set complements and completes your Athena Prime set and expands your creative horizons with its versatility and outstanding optical performance for everything from sweeping landscapes to intricate portraits. Additionally, the same hard case as in the Master Set is included, which has space for all 8 lenses of the NISI Athena Prime series.
It enriches your film gear with state-of-the-art lenses that maintain the series' outstanding image quality. Each lens is designed for maximum microcontrast control and extremely low chromatic aberration, delivering images of unparalleled clarity and detail fidelity. The various apertures from T1.9 to T2.2 and the characteristic soft bokeh give your visual storytelling depth and emotional resonance.
Minimal "Focus Breathing"
The Athena Prime range was carefully developed to minimize "focus breathing" and provide filmmakers with a consistent field of view when focusing. This is crucial to preserving the integrity of the visual narrative and ensuring seamless, distraction-free transitions that captivate the audience. The complete set features matched iris and focus ring positions that are consistent with the Athena lineup and enable smooth and efficient operation, which is especially valuable in dynamic filming environments.
Accessories easily interchangeable
A key advantage of the NiSi Athena Prime lenses is their uniform weight and size (with the exception of the 135mm lens), eliminating the need to rebalance the gimbal when changing lenses and saving valuable time on set. The lenses feature a 77mm filter thread (except for the 14mm lens) and matching aperture and focus rings across the series, simplifying the use of lens accessories. The 300° rotating focus ring with fluorescent focus scales allows precise focusing, which is essential for sharp, dynamic shots.
Drop-in filter holder
The Athena Prime lenses are equipped with a drop-in filter holder (only L-, RF- and E-Mount; PL-Mount is equipped with a rear filter holder), providing filmmakers with a more flexible workflow and greater creative control. By simply adding ND, polarizing, or other filters, the desired look can be achieved without needing to mount filters on the front of the lens. This feature also allows for quick and efficient filter changes, saving time and reducing the risk of damaging the lens.
Note: The NiSi Athena Prime lenses with E-mount and drop-in filters are not compatible with the Sony FX9 and the DJI Ronin 4D. For these camera models, the NiSi Athena Prime lenses with E-mount without drop-in filters must be used!
