The NiSi 75x80mm Neutral Density IR ND8 – 3 Stops is a neutral density filter (ND) that evenly reduces the amount of light entering the lens. ND filters allow for greater motion blur and detail accuracy by permitting a large aperture and slow shutter speed. They are also useful when the contrast between lights and shadows is too great to achieve high-quality exposure.
The ND8 3 Stops is used during the day outside of the golden hour, as the bright ambient light requires much more "light blocking." With the right settings, the exposure time can be extended up to 5 minutes during the golden hour.
True-to-Life Color Reproduction
NiSi ND filters do not affect the color of the image, offering true-to-life color reproduction and are made from high-quality optical glass with high-quality patented multi-layer nano-coating to ensure no details are lost. Additionally, the coating protects the filter from scratches, dirt, oil, and water.
