Product information "75x100mm Hard IR GND8 – 3 Stops"

The 75x100mm Hard IR GND Filter from NiSi is a rectangular filter that specifically darkens certain areas of an image, such as bright skies, while other areas of the shot remain unchanged in exposure.

Hard Transition

The filter is densest at the edge and becomes lighter towards the center, with a hard edge as a transition between the bright and dark areas. This type of filter is particularly suitable for scenes with an abrupt transition from the foreground to the sky, as is the case with landscapes without elements protruding above the horizon, such as a seascape with a view of the open ocean. They can also be used in shots with direct light when a sharp transition is required.

When the filter is used in backlit shots, atmospheric and dramatic skies can be created. If elements protrude above the horizon, they may appear very dark in the image above the transition line.

True-to-Life Colors

The NiSi GND filters do not affect the color rendering of the image, offer true-to-life colors, and are made from high-quality optical Schott glass with a multi-layer nano-coating to ensure the preservation of every detail.

Infrared Coating

When using neutral density filters, the camera can become susceptible to infrared light, which can cause an unwanted red cast on photos at small apertures. The NiSi GND filters feature an infrared protection coating that blocks infrared light through the lens, ensuring natural, lifelike color reproduction.
