The NiSi L-Bracket - An Experience Report
An L-Bracket for less than 40 euros? What does the L-Bracket from NiSi offer? Here is an overview from the field!
The L-Bracket from NiSi is a new development from the well-known filter manufacturer and is available in several versions. It is available for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm and the Olympus OM system. It is easy to find out whether your camera is compatible.
Why is an L-Bracket useful?
An L-Bracket enables a quick change between landscape and portrait format while the camera remains on the tripod. Thanks to Arca-Swiss compatibility on both sides, the camera can be attached to the tripod head without repositioning. This ensures a stable balance and prevents the tripod from tipping. The tedious repositioning of the tripod head is no longer necessary, which makes the workflow much easier.

My experience with the NiSi L-Bracket
I have been using the NiSi L-Bracket on my Nikon Z7II regularly since October 2022. The L-Bracket looks robust and has a high-quality finish. According to NiSi, it is made of scratch-resistant aerospace aluminum. The universal fit makes it compatible with various camera models. In addition, the short side of the Bracket can be moved to ensure access to the camera connections on the side*.
Thanks to the generous rubber coating, the L-Bracket sits securely on the camera and does not slip. Access to the battery compartment remains free, which is very useful in practice. The Allen key integrated in the L-Bracket is particularly practical - always to hand when adjustments are required.
