According to the manufacturer, NiSi’s Ultra Low Reflection Coating (ULRC) achieves light transmission of up to 99.9 per cent. This minimises light loss, reflections and stray light. This is particularly relevant when shooting into the light or with strong light sources in the frame, as additional reflections caused by the filter should be kept to a minimum. A manufacturing process designed for high sharpness also improves the flatness and parallelism of the filter surfaces. This preserves the resolving power of high-resolution sensors without the permanent protection in front of the lens unnecessarily compromising detail or contrast. 48-layer nano-coating and sturdy brass frame

For use in a variety of shooting conditions, the NiSi NC UV for Hasselblad (72mm) features a water- and oil-repellent nano-coating on both sides, comprising a total of 48 layers. This allows raindrops and water spray to roll off more easily, whilst fingerprints, dust and other dirt can be removed more readily. This makes maintenance easier whilst on the move and, at the same time, protects the front lens itself from direct contact with environmental factors. The optical glass is set in a solid brass frame. This material ensures smooth screw-in and is designed to minimise deformation or jamming of the filter thread, which can occur with lighter frames under stress. Clearly visible, colour-filled markings make it easy to identify the filter type and size. The frame is also manufactured with such precision that the original Hasselblad lens cap can be used over the fitted filter. This means the UV filter can remain on the lens during transport, whilst the existing lens cap continues to provide additional protection.
