This allows you, for example, to control a bright sky without further darkening a darker foreground. This is particularly useful for high-contrast landscapes, coastal scenes and cityscapes, where the dynamic range between the sky and the ground is particularly wide. The special 1/3 gradation is designed for compositions in which the sky occupies a smaller proportion of the frame and the landscape, water or architecture takes centre stage. At the same time, the long, gentle transition is ideal for mountains, trees and tall buildings that break through the horizon and extend far into the darkened area. These subjects are gradually darkened rather than being affected by a clearly defined transition edge. This facilitates a natural distribution of light even whilst taking the shot and can reduce the amount of post-processing required later on.

The full-spectrum technology of the NiSi JetMag Pro Soft FS GND8 (0.9) (95MAG) is designed to deliver neutral colour reproduction without unwanted colour casts. Colours and contrasts remain as natural as possible across the visible spectrum, which is relevant for both high-resolution landscape photography and video recording. In moving images in particular, a colour cast within a gradient zone is quickly noticeable, which is why the neutral filter effect offers a practical advantage for filmmakers and content creators. The optical glass is combined with NiSis Pro Nano Coating. This coating reduces reflections and helps maintain contrast, whilst repelling water and oil and making cleaning easier. As a result, the GND filter is also designed for outdoor use in conditions involving splash water, rain or dust. For travel productions, landscape videos and YouTube shoots, this allows you to precisely control the exposure right in front of the camera, rather than having to compensate for significant differences in brightness solely during post-production.

JetMag Pro 95MAG for quick magnetic filter changes

The NiSi JetMag Pro Soft FS GND8 (0.9) (95MAG) utilises the JetMag Pro 95MAG magnetic system, allowing it to be attached or removed quickly. A patented locking mechanism ensures a secure hold and helps prevent accidental release. The filter can also be combined with other filters from the JetMag Pro 95MAG system, including True Colour CPL, FS ND and diffusion filters. A compatible 95MAG adapter ring is required for mounting on the lens. It supports 95mm-95MAG as well as the step-up sizes 86mm-95MAG, 82mm-95MAG, 77mm-95MAG and 72mm-95MAG. This means that the same filter can be used on multiple lenses with the appropriate adapter rings. The particularly slim aluminium frame is designed to reduce vignetting; according to the manufacturer, it can be used with full-frame wide-angle lenses up to 15 mm. Blue filter grips facilitate quick identification and handling. In addition, the filter is compatible with the magnetic 95MAG front cap, allowing it to remain mounted and protected between shots.
