Direct mounting on the Fujifilm X100 series without an adapter

The NiSi Fujifilm X100 NC UV filter (silver) has been specially developed for the Fujifilm X100, X100S, X100F, X100T, X100V and X100VI. To fit the filter, the factory-fitted decorative ring on the lens is removed and the filter is screwed directly into its place. This means that no additional adapter ring is required. The flat design largely preserves the camera’s compact profile, making it particularly suitable for street photography and travel, where an X100 is often carried within easy reach. At the same time, the design takes into account the movement of the lens barrel when focusing at close range. The space provided for this purpose prevents any mechanical restriction on the extending barrel, meaning the camera’s native minimum focusing distance can still be utilised. The original Fujifilm lens cap for the X100 series can also be used directly over the fitted filter. This allows the UV filter to integrate seamlessly into your existing camera kit without the need for additional components and can remain permanently attached to the lens.

99.3% light transmission and nano-coating for clear images

To minimise any impact on optical performance, the NiSi Fujifilm X100 NC UV Filter (silver) uses optical glass with a specified light transmission of 99.3 per cent. Both glass surfaces feature a multi-layer, anti-reflective nano-coating. This reduces reflections between the filter and the lens, thereby helping to control flare and ghosting caused, for example, by backlighting, street lighting or reflective shop windows. At the same time, the coating is designed to ensure neutral colour reproduction. The optical glass absorbs UV light and can therefore reduce atmospheric haze as well as the associated bluish colour cast in distant subjects. An additional hydrophobic and oleophobic surface coating allows water to bead off more easily and makes it harder for fingerprints, grease or splashes to stick. This makes cleaning easier in everyday use and is particularly practical for travel and street photographers who frequently use their camera in changing weather and environmental conditions.

49 mm front thread for ND, polarising and effect filters

A key new feature of this model is the integrated 49 mm front thread. This allows standard screw-in filters with a 49 mm diameter to be mounted directly in front of the NiSi Fujifilm X100 NC UV Filter (silver). A polarising filter, for example, can reduce reflections on non-metallic surfaces, whilst an ND filter enables longer exposure times or wider apertures in bright ambient light. Black-mist and other effect filters can also be screwed on without the need for an additional adapter. The UV filter therefore serves not only as a protective glass but also as the basis for a compact filter system on the Fujifilm X100 series. In everyday use, it protects the fixed 23 mm lens from scratches, dust, sand and moisture. This permanent protective layer can be particularly useful on a camera with a fixed lens, as the front element cannot simply be replaced by another lens. The slim aluminium frame is finished in silver and visually matches the silver variants of the X100 cameras. Despite the additional front thread, the design remains deliberately flat to minimise any impact on the camera’s handling and compact nature.
