Q: What sizes is the NiSi JetMag Pro available in?

The NiSi JetMag Pro is available in five sizes: 49MAG (adapter range 39–49 mm), 67MAG (49–67 mm), 82MAG (62–82 mm), 95MAG (72–95 mm) and MAXMAG (dedicated adapters for the Canon RF 14mm F1.4 L, Nikon Z F2.8 lenses 14–24/24–70/70–200 mm, Sony FE 14mm F1.8 GM and cine lenses with a 114 mm front diameter). With the right adapter rings, each size can be fitted to different lens threads.

Q: How does the locking work on the NiSi JetMag Pro?

Attach the filter with the grips offset about 45° and twist the small grips onto the white markers on the adapter – and the filter is locked. To release it, twist the grips about 45° away again. This applies to single and stacked filters.

Q: How quickly can you change a filter?

In seconds. The filter is held magnetically and is attached and removed via two ridged grips. Color-coded grips make it easier to identify the filters in the kit.

Q: How many filters can I stack – and how do I avoid vignetting?

Depending on the kit, up to six filters can be stacked and locked together; offset the grips slightly from one another. Thanks to the ultra-slim design, stepped design and slightly enlarged front glass, two filters can be combined down to 15 mm without vignetting. At 15/16 mm, twist the grips about 45° toward the image corners; with more than two filters at very wide-angle focal lengths, the video mode is additionally recommended.

Q: Which adapter rings do I need for the NiSi JetMag Pro?

A matching adapter ring is needed for each lens (e.g. 62–82 mm on the 82MAG). With smaller threads, the right system can be used via a standard step-up adapter.

Q: Is the NiSi JetMag Pro compatible with other magnetic systems?

No. The system is not compatible with magnetic systems, matte boxes or magnetic filters from other manufacturers, nor with the original lens cap. It comes with its own metal protective caps for the front and back.

Tip: at 15/16 mm, twist the small grips about 45° toward the image corners after attaching them; if more than two filters are combined at very wide-angle focal lengths, the video mode is additionally recommended to avoid vignetting.

Which adapter rings do I need for the NiSi JetMag Pro?

For each lens you need a matching adapter ring on the NiSi JetMag Pro (e.g. 62, 67, 72, 77 or 82 mm on the 82MAG). That way you can prepare every lens and attach the filters in seconds during the shoot. With a smaller thread, you can also use the right system via a standard step-up adapter (e.g. 49–82 mm).

Is the NiSi JetMag Pro compatible with other magnetic systems?

No. The NiSi JetMag Pro is not compatible with magnetic systems, matte boxes or magnetic filters from other manufacturers. Your camera's original lens cap doesn't fit either – instead, the NiSi JetMag Pro comes with its own metal protective caps for the front and back.
