With the AUREUS PRIME T1.4 Cinema Lens Series, NiSi presents a new series of high-quality full-frame cinema lenses. Developed for maximum reliability and top-notch image quality, the AUREUS PRIME lenses are suitable for feature film and TV productions as well as documentaries and commercials.

Diverse Focal Lengths for Creative Flexibility

The series includes five focal lengths: 18mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm. Each lens features a T1.4 aperture, a 46mm image circle, and a compact, uniform housing for efficient workflows.

Cinematic Optics & Bright T1.4 Aperture

The AUREUS PRIME lenses are optimized for full-frame and medium format sensors and deliver outstanding performance in low-light conditions. The T1.4 aperture allows for precise depth control, while the 11-blade iris provides smooth, natural bokeh. Contrast and sharpness remain consistent across the entire aperture range from T1.4 to T22.

High-Precision Optical Design

By using ultra-low dispersion elements, the AUREUS PRIME lenses minimize chromatic aberration, distortion, and color fringing. Advanced coatings reduce flare and ghosting, ensuring high contrast with neutral color reproduction for clear, unadulterated images.

Minimal Focus Breathing & Precise Control

Special attention is given to reducing focus breathing, so the image frame changes minimally during focus shifts. The 300° focus ring allows for precise, repeatable manual focusing—a must for high-resolution cinema productions.

Compact Design for Seamless Workflow

All lenses in the series share a front diameter of 90mm, an 86mm filter thread, and an average weight of 1300g. This facilitates quick lens changes without rebalancing the camera rig. Identical positions of the focus and aperture adjustment rings ensure maximum compatibility with accessories. Additionally, luminous markings allow for easy operation in low-light conditions.

The lenses come with interchangeable focus scales (feet or meters) that can be easily swapped without tools.

Rear Filter Holder for Creative Possibilities

An integrated rear filter holder supports ND, diffusion, and effect filters. This is particularly useful for use with drones, gimbals, or handheld cameras, where weight and balance play a significant role.

Compatibility & Mounts

The AUREUS PRIME series is available in PL mount and supports a flange distance of 16.1mm to 19.8mm, ensuring compatibility with most PL mount cameras and adapters.

The AUREUS PRIME series ideally complements the NiSi ATHENA PRIME lenses. Both series offer comparable optical characteristics and harmonious color reproduction, allowing different focal lengths to be combined seamlessly.
